The Russian Armed Forces have begun to cover tanks with rubber

  8. This is basic conveyor belting. Our gun range uses it to hang targets on for the rimfire range. A 22lr from a pistol will go right through. This isn’t stopping shit unless Ukraine is targeting tanks with Daisy Red Riders.

  27. On the contrary, it *might* stop ATGMs (as any kind of spaced armor can), but tungsten balls *will* go straight through. Though, I doubt those can go through the tank itself.

  32. LMFAOOOO. holy fuck.. Tungsten will not be kind to that rubber at all. Also..

    Those rubber mats are going to intensify the heat inside that tank like.. NO PROBLEM at all lol. All that heat and pressure from head on explosions/ near by explosions are going to make the situation inside the tank even worse– that’s just a great way to trap it all inside. I imagine a catastrophe happening with this set up. I can already smell the burning hair, pork, and rubber.

  34. They might as well just add dirt and rocks into sandbags and put them on top and around the tank .

    That would be better than this stupid idea .
