I moved into a flat. These come out at night in the kitchen. They stay on the ceiling and seem to like the light part more

False widow!
Fruit flies. Get a glass of cheap sweet white wine and put a small bit of washing up liquid in it and leave it out over night. Also check around your place to see that there’s no bits of food underneath the fridge and scrub the cupboards and counter tops with bleach. Kills the eggs.
Hard to tell from the pictures but I had something similar years ago; drain flies. Horrible little bastards. They live in vacant or little used sewer pipes, shower drains, sink pipes etc. there’s a few tips below. Mine were coming out of a shower tray that was never used. Poured down few kettles of boiling water and an excessive amount of bleach – that done the trick. Don’t let any drain go dry; as far as I know they won’t be able to pass through standing water.

Until what is clinging on to your ceiling is gone. You’ll know if it’s working. They’ll be dead in the glass
This always happens here when I forget to close a window at night. I get the vacuum to them.
