Reconstructing the Hamas terror attack on Israel on 7 October | DW Documentary

6:30 am on 7 October 2023: the militant Islamist group Hamas launches a terrorist attack on Israel. A film team interviews survivors directly afterwards. Based on their statements, the documentary reconstructs the horrors of that day.

In haunting and harrowing accounts, 10 people relate how they experienced and survived the 7 October Hamas terror attack. Some were at the Nova music festival, or at home in their houses in the kibbutzim near the Gaza border. Their interwoven stories provide a picture of the terror, reconstructing the events at various flashpoints. Animations and miniature simulations vividly depict the events as they unfolded that day.

Over 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas terror attack in Israel and more than 240 military personnel and civilians were taken hostage in Gaza.

  17. Well, it is a terrorist attack. According to Israeli sources, more than 1,200 people were killed and 240 soldiers and civilians were detained by Khammas in Gaza.

    NOW. Let us take the year 2022 only as an example of what the occupation practices against the Palestinians.

    * The number of people killed by the Israeli army and security is: 230, including Jamil Najm (4 years old) and Alaa Abdullah Qaddum (5 years old) from Gaza, and Rayan Yasser Salman (7 years old) and Mahmoud Samoudi (12 years old) from the West Bank, and also my colleague Sherine Abu Aqila, Al Jazeera correspondent.

    * The number of injured Palestinians, victims of the army, security, and Israeli settlers, reached 9,335 people.

    * The number of Palestinian prisoners held by the Israeli army reached 4,700, including 34 female prisoners, about 150 minors, and 835 administrative detainees, including three female prisoners and four children.

    * The number of houses demolished by the occupation was 833.

    * The number of attacks launched by settlers on Palestinian villages reached 793 attacks.

    * The number of settlement plans that were approved is 116 settlement plans with the blessing of the Israeli authority

    * Even the trees were not spared, as approximately 13,130 olive trees were uprooted.

    Now the question is directed to you: do you have any shred of humanity, impartiality, or credibility left?

    Is this also terrorism or not?

    By the way, all of these numbers only occurred in one year, which is 2022.

  20. It’s so disheartening to see everyone upset in the comments. They just posted a video about Gaza. People love to see things as black in white and refuse to acknowledge that both sides have PEOPLE who are not their governments. Both sides have suffered and deserve for their stories to be told. People who don’t recognize that are part of the problem!

    If you don't want people to die, don't attack another country. Ask Russia for this. And greetings from Germany, we learned this the hard way.
