1. I’m sick and tired of hearing about this from her. It seems like she just hates being famous, she can step away from this whole thing if it’s so unpleasant. I understand disliking Stan behavior but this is just giving not great vibes.

2. She’s not gonna last in the spotlight. Fame culture is irrevocably fucked up, but resilience is the key to surviving it. The culture will not be changed overnight for one pop star with one album.

4. I think it’s great to call out harassment, stalking, touching, and generally entitled behavior, because it’s dangerous and too many celebrities deal with it. Our culture has normalized it as part of fame and that shouldn’t be the case.

   However, Chappell is also calling out people who just want to say hello or get a picture with her, and I find that sentiment, uh, ridiculous. If you don’t want to be famous, don’t work for years to become a pop star lol. Don’t play big festivals and open for Olivia Rodrigo. Chappell has been whining about fame from the second she achieved it as though she stumbled into this and hasn’t been a struggling artist trying to make it big for like a decade.

   She gives me mean girl vibes.

5. Paparazzi being obnoxious and complaining about stalkers is one thing, complaining that fans have the audacity to recognize you in their public isn’t cute.

7. It’s ironic I’ve seen an article about someone wanting to leave social media and have privacy (or whatever) over a dozen times within the last few days.

   Also I have no idea who this person is and if they want to be left alone they should also fill in their publicist.

   Not saying whether or not that’s the reality, but it’s definitely the impression I have of her.

If she hates it so much she should consider not being famous. It’s pretty easy actually. Stop booking venues for a few months and people will move on.

18. Her music isn’t really the type of stuff I listen to but I agree with her. Paying for someone’s art or to see someone perform entitles you to nothing but what you paid for. They don’t owe you anything else. Celebrity worship is apparently a sign of low intelligence according to a study that I did not read and can’t vouch for the veracity of but it sounds right.

    Anyone with sense knows that’s how it goes down. Why is she acting like this is some new thing. If telling people not to be creepy worked princess Diana would still be alive.

You’d think her manager or record company would have warned her and told her to ignore it. Giving the creeps attention is not the way to go.
