  1. Extremely unlikely, more likely to target airfields, ships or fuel depots. When will you people stop obsessing about the bridge? They already have a rail link via land now so damaging it is not as important as it used to be.

  2. Bridge, fuel depots, airfields, troop housing, repair facilities, air defences. So many to choose from.

  3. Supplies and any aircraft. My money is on more ammo storages.

  4. I feel like Airfield attacks to halt the flow of KAB glide bombs it’s a current priority.

Also killing more air defence systems is always good.

  5. Fucking great way to celebrate independence day if true. God speed!

  6. Can’t wait for result of these independence day salutes

  7. If those drones could be fitted with durandal-like payloads they could render the bridge deck unusable for freight traffic. But those payloads would be more useful to take the airbases out of commission.

  8. I love those new drones but a 40kg warhead isn’t denting that bridge. Hit the fuel dumps and ammo dumps. They go up spectacularly.

  9. Glide bombs, fuel, ammo, air fields, planes, airdefence systems. That is Ukraine’s bighest threats.

The bridge is not that important.

    Why?

    1. The rail is still damaged so it cannot go with heavy equipment anyway. Russia uses ferries and land connection.

    2. If we are ever going to witness a military liberation of Crimea people need a way out. Both the US and Germany are against getting the bridge destroyed.
Personally I would have give Ukraine all Taurus and get the bridge pulverized. But the equipment can be used better elsewere.

    3. It is better to let the F16s do the work later once it is “safe enough” for them to get close enough.

    4. I still hope they go for the bridge. If we could really destroy it beyond repair it could get a huge and even dangerous headache for Putin.

  10. Ammo dumps, fuel depots, command centers, and air defense would be better targets. I think their next big objective will be an assault on Crimea.

  11. Well, this was an hour ago, they must have either hit something or been intercepted by now… what’s the update?

  12. What can aerial drones do to the structure of a bridge that size? I call bs.

  13. We’ve been disappointed many times so while I’m hoping it’s actually happening I’m not holding my breath.

  14. Whoever thought they’d target a massive lump of reinforced concrete with a small drone warhead needs to get out more.

  15. the bridge is a focal point for resources and weapons systems to defend it

It causes the Russians to have to keep a great deal of air and ground force tied in one place along with all that equipment.

Better to destroy the equipment and let them bring more, especially air defenses.

It is actually an asset to the Ukrainians.
