Why do western EU politicians plagiarise their theses so much?
E.g. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Franziska Giffey, Ursula von der Leyen, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Perhaps copying is a national hobby in Luxembourg.
They copied the Dutch flag and they copied one of our province.
If I pulled such shit on my university I would be kicked out immediately and accused of plagiarism. I guess all people are equal but some are more equal than others.

So this wasn’t his degree, it was a post degree qualification.
It also wasn’t a thesis, it was a synopsis.
The university investigation stated that under the rules in place at the time the only thing missing was detailed references. The university stated he could keep the qualification if he added the missing references. He chose not to and asked the university to withdraw the qualification.

What kind of thesis is this even? How do people get a degree with 50-60 pages?

What an amateur, we all know that you first Google Translate it to another language, then to a third language and then back to the first, fixing the mistakes. Then you rewrite some sentences with your own words and obviously change the order
Our former prime minister didn’t even read his thesis and had his friend plagiarise it instead.
Former parliament chairman copied entire sections of several books.
Current parliament chairman bought his whole master’s degree on a university that was founded by his friend and a fellow oligarch just for purpose of selling degrees to people who pay. (probably still cheaper than getting the master’s legitimately in usa though)

used to think it’s a big deal, but after finishing uni i’m convinced writting thesis for bachelors/masters is a nonsense concept. Dunno how it looks like on tech studies, but for stuff like law, economy, management, accounting etc the thesis is expected to be 3/4 copy pasted from other books

I guess Danish politicians are happy theirs are not open for the public (no university thesis’s are).
On the other hand many of them did not even graduate before they became full time politicians so maybe they don’t have any.
