It’s sad thinking about what could’ve been in those early months, in terms of the nature of the Bosnian Army. Seems like in the beginning there was a genuine effort for it to be multi-ethnic, a Bosnian Army for all Bosnians, resisting the extremists, with a Serb as Deputy Commander and apparently consisting of [15% Serbs](https://apnews.com/article/0ca6ee2e3746eba06f6f29af67364581), with [Serb snipers in the Bosnian Army](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hga7FV5lkOg) counter-sniping the Serbs on the hills. Wish the distrust hadn’t destroyed this idea, might’ve had a much more unified Bosnian identity now. But perhaps I’m naive and this was never actually realistically possible.
