And I thought it was about defense, not about leaving the country 😀
UK sent people to train Ukrainians how to leave the country 😂
I don’t understand what Putin thinks will happen after he invades Ukraine. His country will be sanctioned to hell and thousands of Russians will return home in bodybags. Like for what? NATO is never going to invade Russia. That is the most insane idea I’ve ever heard It can barely talk and remember to breathe at the same time. Russia has THOUSANDS of nukes like who the hell is going to be like I want to occupy a bunch of tundra wasteland and am willing to start a nuclear war for it.
If this isn’t a bluff then I’m honestly just stupified at the shere stupidity of the kremlin. These old soviet morons need to die already and let the rest of us move on.
Russia has so much land and potential. There is no reason why Russians shouldn’t be able to live a happy and prosperous life
They must really think something is about to kick off. Government must be concerned about brits potentially dying and don’t want to be forced into an escalation
great strategy lol
> Britain, in common with all other Nato allies, has said it would not fight against any Russian attack, a point repeated by the minister in a BBC interview.
And Putin knows NATO will do nothing so he’s free to do whatever the fuck he likes with impunity. NATO is one of those organisations that does a good talk but is all mouth and no trousers.
As expected, the west has abandoned Ukraine to its fate. At this point, I see two possible outcomes:
-Ukrainian government accepts some sort of deal with Russia, ceding some of the disputed territory to them and becoming something akin to a client state, leading to an overthrow of the government and potentially Russia rolling-in to restore order.
-War breaks out and the Russians either seize the southeastern portion of the country or everything east of the Dnieper.
Sure, Russia will be hit with sanctions and embargoes, maybe kicked out of some international organisations, but that won’t stop them.
Terrible wording in the headline lol. Some commas would help…

This follows news from few hours ago of Russia evacuating their own diplomatic staff from Ukraine – https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/europe/2022/02/12/russia-evacuating-diplomatic-staff-from-ukraine/
