It must be so exhausting to constantly be told you’re expected to act with civility and compassion given what Russia has inflicted on the people of Ukraine… The fact that Zelenskyy hasn’t acted vindictively and that Ukrainian Forces have treated the civilians they have encountered in Russia with kindness and as if they are absolved of the “sins of their father” has been a true testament to Ukraine’s strength. Zelenskyy is justified in destroying any Russian Forces that don’t swiftly and immediately surrender… Retreating or not. It would be irresponsible not to, given what they would do to the people he represents given the opportunity.

  11. Although the “we need to be better than them” in me wants us to show them humanity and compassion after they are defeated. The vengeance in me would probably feel no pity if the Russians got the exact treatment they have given to many soldiers in the past.

    The retreating columns are always bombed relentlessly by Russians, they always want to kill as many people as possible, they even go so far as to promise safe evacuation routes then bomb the unarmed retreating soldiers as they try to flee (Ask the Chechens and afghans), if Ukraine did this, my reaction would probably not be negative.
