   Which is easy to say when your nation has not developed a vaccine and is therefore not losing anything from such a commitment.

   I thought Africa was not hit hard by Covid due to its young age structure. How would a vaccine even help them?

It’s largely Spain’s fault, and it’s a major stumbling block in any further development of the [Arab Maghreb Union](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Maghreb_Union), which would help stabilize the EU’s entire southern maritime border and contribute a lot in stemming the unregulated flow of refugees. Trump seemed to think the solution was “give it to Morocco by recognizing them as the owners”, but that hasn’t helped and Biden doesn’t have any other ideas. Europe needs its neighbors to be happy, strong and stable. North Africa’s future strongly affects Europe’s.
