Hi, I live in Munich. I had a pull up bar mounted to the wall. While working out, I was just hanging on it but only on one side of the bar and suddenly the top screw came off and pull a chuck off the wall. The gray area is about 20 cm in width and 17 cm in height and around 3.5 cm in depth. How can I fix it ? I need to plaster it but I have no idea what kind should I buy or what is the right procedure. After plaster, what kind of paint is required to get the grainy look on the wall ? I am a student, so don’t want to hire someone to do cuz it might be expensive. Could it be DIY ? It would be very helpful if someone can help me out 🙏

  1. Look for “Fertigspachtel” in a “Baumarkt”, buy a small bucket straight away, not a tube. Apply the filler (with a spatula) layer by layer and let it dry out in between. Cover the floor beforehand and wear old clothes.

You can only achieve the “grainy look” if you use a suitable piece of wallpaper – because that is wallpaper.

I don’t want to discourage you, but I don’t think you can repair it without leaving marks (especially if you’ve never done it before). Your landlord won’t be happy.

  2. You need some kind of Fertigspachtel to fill the hole. To imitate the “Rauhfaser”-Wallpaper you can use products like this (Rauhfaser Reparatur Struktur Spachtel): [https://www.amazon.de/Pufas-Rauhfaser-Reparatur-Struktur-Spachtel-330](https://www.amazon.de/Pufas-Rauhfaser-Reparatur-Struktur-Spachtel-330)

I would roughly fill the hole with some standard Spachtel and apply the rauhfaser-Spachtel afterwards.

But this is only an imitation of the real thing. Read the instructions and the recommendations to find the right product for your wall.
