What if Georgia joined the European Union?

  1. This confused me a little for a second, I reckon noting it out as “State of Georgia” in title would be a bit better lol

  2. I once had a layover in Atlanta. Met a local Atlanta girl at the hotel.

Was the most incredible bedroom experience I have had.

  3. The thing is that most people would be familiar with the country Georgia rather than the state carrying the same name in the US. It is confusing.

Having said that, let’s steal some states from the US? 😛 Maybe we can gradually absorb the US this way and create Transatlantic Union!

  4. This made no sense to me until I realized that you’re talking about Georgia the US State and not the country – which happens to be part of Europe.

  5. For a bit of context for those not familiar, Georgia is among the larger US states by population and has one of the higher GDPs, a little higher than 20th percentile for both. It’s around the middle in its physical size and in GDP per capita.

  6. Haha, I guess many others will have the same issue but I automatically assumed we’re talking about “our” Georgia and up until point 3 sounded legit but then “6th total GDP of 687 billion USD” confused me a lot.

  7. Okay, I’d take it because Savannah and Tybee Island, and with the Atlanta Braves, we had the MLB World Series Winner, and the NCAAF Champion (UGA) coming from Europe.

  8. > Atlanta

Oh, that Georgia … I started to be really puzzled (only) after the nuclear arsenal thing.

  9. It looks like secret PR stunt of European Georgia to get more support for it’s joining EU.

  10. Terrible idea.

Freedom of movement is all fucky. No European would want to go there and the Georgians you don’t want would end up coming to Europe.
