30. This will legitimize a large Russian counter offensive with more deadly weapons. Would have been a smarter play, and probably more peaceful, to regain territory and heavily fortify the border. If they could hold it they could join NATO and used allied forces to hold territory. Movement into Russia and joining nato will prove Russian fears correct and could trigger larger scale war IMO.
