Yep that’s a blackbird. Looks normal size to me – sometimes birds can fluff their feathers which makes them look bigger (it traps more air and helps keep them warmer).
Birds tend to sit hunched up and feathers puffed out like that if they’re sick

We’ve a few magpies that were eating our bernese mountain dogs food (giant pellets) when we put him outside for the house to get painted indoors including that vinyl for the woodwork etc.
Not sure if the dog wasn’t eating or what as they were scattered all around the bowl in the shed where we put them trying to coax him to make himself comfortable. Then after about a week I see a magpie come out of the shed that was very puffy. He resembled a mini penguin. He then went to fly to the top of the garage roof and need didn’t make it to the bottom roof. He was packing. It was hilarious
