  4. Nah, that isn’t it. People have been making fun of him for decades. The emperor knows he’s naked. It’s convincing his base that there’s something wrong. And apparently it has to be done very subtly with a simple term like “weird”.

  19. I knew that in 2016, but Democrats refused to leave the “High Road” and capitalize on it.

    When Clinton called him a puppet during the debate, he went insane. We saw the real Trump for a moment, but Hillary Never poked him again and neither did Democrats. We could be living in a much better world if they had not been so cowardly.

  30. Not really, do people have the memory of a goldfish or something? Hillary and Obama ridiculed him to no end, Hillary was even ahead in the polls. But the popular vote doesn’t win elections in the US.

    It could be because his supporters are much more disillusioned with the same tired old tropes and that Kamala is more popular than Hillary, but people could also be blindsiding themselves if they decide she’s just such a sure win they won’t vote as protest because of her because of the silence regarding the Palestinian slaughter.

    Trump does seem to be losing ground, but it could very well be something only seen from our bubble, because the Fox News bubble has a completely different take on reality and at the end of the day his potential voters watch Fox News. Just go visit their website.

  32. I’ve been saying this for many years- but everyone told me that wouldn’t work. I said the place of strength for conservatives is confidence and if we collectively point and laugh it’d fall apart. But nah so whatever

  35. Finally? Just look at every single god damn dictator in the history. From putin to hitler to stalin to kim jong – trump is no different.

  37. This was already known. Obama roasted him at the correspondents dinner that in turn led Trump to go on a series of race fueled ignorant attacks. We just didn’t know it would sweep the Tea Party folks off their feet.

    I think people also forget… He barely won against Clinton who had to deal with being the boogeyman of the 90’s, while facing foreign state sponsored misinformation campaigns, bitter Bernie bros, and an FBI chief who dropped a misguided news release just a couple weeks prior to voting day.

    Even then, everyone, including Trump, was surprised he won and I suspect if you held a second vote the next day, a bunch of people who stayed home or tossed their vote in protest would have voted Clinton if they thought Trump had even the slightest chance of winning. People know now.

  43. I feel like ridiculing him and calling them out on their weirdness isn’t “going low” or being petty. It’s dismissive because his garbage policies and personal attacks don’t *deserve* to be met with seriousness.

    The last 8 years have felt like we’re trying to analyze, reason with, and discuss policy with someone who is just shitting his pants and then flinging it all over the place.
