‘Her story is your story’: Michelle Obama issues call to arms for Kamala, excoriates Trump

Taking to the stage on the second night of the Democratic national convention in Chicago, former first lady Michelle Obama praised presidential candidate Kamala Harris, saying she was one of the ‘most qualified people ever’ to run for president.

In a series of swipes aimed at the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Obama said Harris understands that most people won’t have the luxury of ‘failing forward’, bankrupting a business or choking in a crisis, before saying Trump felt threatened by her and her husband, ‘two hard-working and highly educated, successful people who happen to be Black’. ‘I want to know who’s going to tell him? Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those Black jobs?’ Obama said

  17. We're past the point of whether or not you are a republican or a democrat. It is about voting for the party that will allow the US to remain a democratic state.
