We have not forgotten what they did to our countries in the past, and the hell and instability they force upon us today in the name of exploitation of our resources. They fund dictatorial regimes, overturn the results of democratic elections because they disagree with the peoples' chosen candidate, pour money into fanning the flames of wars, make use of terrorism when it suits them to cause instability (we all know they fund ISIS), promote economic stagnation, and encourage corrupt leadership so that we stay poor. Then after destroying our countries and stealing our resources, they tell us everyday that we are not welcome in their countries (which they have built on the back of our resources). That is what the west does in Africa.

    Russia, on the other hand, has never in its entire history done any of these things in Africa. They never colonized anyone. They don't fund wars in our countries. They have provided sanctuary and resources for our freedom fighters in the past. They don't try to tell us what our domestic policies should be under threat of severe economic sanctions. They have been looking to form mutually beneficial alliances with us. The west does not know what a mutually beneficial alliance is, it only understands the master and servant relationship.

    Western nations need to understand that the only African countries that may look like they support Ukraine are those who are being forced to do so by the United States for fear of economic sanctions. Otherwise there is pretty much ZERO support for Ukraine in Africa. Well done to South Africa for refusing to be part of this silly, unprovoked war the west has chosed to wage on Russia.
