2. So very interesting where Coman will end up. Rumors about Al-Hilal in Saudi, but do we really see that happening? If he want’s to keep his spot with the French NT, and especially with how many great wingers there is in that team, would a move to Saudi make sanse? If he want to keep that spot he has to keep playing for a competitive European club imo.

5. My 2 cents regarding the discourse around singing a new cb :

   ● we already have 5 players who can play in that position so signing a new cb might not be necessary. I have seen people on twitter being extremely stupid and saying we should sign van dijk but that simply isn’t necessary . Signing a cb like that means we will have to spend around 40-50 mil and also he will create problems regarding the preestablished heirarchy.

   ● the board has said it multiple times that we have a deep enough squad to compete in all three competition. There is no reason to now bend over back wards to sign a big cb , considering we are in the last week of transfer window and prices will be sky high at this point.

   whatever they plan to do , they need to execute it early enough so as to avoid the problems that occurred in the previous season with respect to palhinha.

   ● I hope the coach realises the Deficiencies the squad has and molds his playing style to that, instead of being stubborn like his predecessor.

   ● in recent years we have signed a number of centre backs and sold them at lesser amounts , what ever decision the board takes , hope this doesn’t repeat.

6. Liverpool would unironically be a great fit for Coman. I think what Slot is trying to do will work very well with him. Interested to see where he ends up.

7. For the same reason that Doue/Xavi made sense to a lot of people… another centreback makes sense.

   It’s not about numbers – it’s about quality. I don’t think we have a single centreback that is Bayern material. Dier, if considered a back up, would be the exception. Stanisic I don’t consider a centreback, and I certainly don’t consider him starter material when someone like Pavard historically couldn’t get in the squad at centreback, at least consistently.

   Hoping the players we have can improve and get there, genuinely, but otherwise I think we need to be aiming higher.

9. Why are we criticizing our center-backs again when just a few months ago, everyone agreed that our backline, like every part of the team, needs proper support from the midfield?

   That is why we spent big on a defensive midfielder in the first place.

10. Ironically, I would feel *less comfortable* if Bayern suddenly signed another CB. It would indicate poor squad planning and lack of certainty among the decision-makers.

    They had all summer to do this “rebuild” and purposefully abandoned it because they were convinced in their squad and players… suddenly changing posture now would be a bit too spontaneous imo.
