Ukraine launches attack on SECOND Russian region as hundreds of troops try to smash into Belgorod

Ukraine is attempting a second surge into Russia with troops eyeing the Belgorod region after smashing into Kursk.

Kyiv’s forces are attacking border checkpoints as Putin’s soldiers desperately fight back to defend their soil, reports say.

Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the Ukrainians were trying to “break through the border”, citing Vlad’s defence ministry.

He said: “According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the situation on the border remains difficult but under control.

“Our military is carrying out planned work. Please remain calm and trust only official sources of information.”

Rumours of heated Ukrainian attacks are also swirling on Telegram.

  45. Wasting troops instead of reinforcing the weak Donetsk region. Russians are about to take Hrodivka, Novohrodivka and Krasnyi Jar just 10 km of Pokrovsk and Pivnichne and Nelipivka near Toretsk. And now Ukraine wants to open yet another front on the North while Russians are advancing on two key cities on the East? Yes, this relieves the tension near Harkov but doesn't affect the supply chain in the Donbas region and only weakens Ukrainian capabilities that has to be used to hold that 1200 km2 Russian territory while Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk threaten with a huge encirclement that could affect Kramatorsk and Sloviansk as well. The tables have turned because now it's Ukraine that has to face the hardships of moving into enemy territory with a fragile supply chain and all Russia has to do is mobilize enough troops to hold the line and tie up vital Ukrainian forces that could've been used to repel Russia on the East where it counts.
