  1. Trump voters are leaving not because they disagree with his “policies” but rather he is beginning to make them feel embarrassed.

  3. This is one voter, not the start of a trend. Trump has always been incoherent and unstable, it’s not been an issue before for any of his supporters.

    He hasn’t lost any support at all since Biden dropped out. Harris has been winning over undecideds, not Trump supporters. Trump has actually gained a couple of points in the polls recently. These people really are deplorables.

  5. Even if 1% decide to stay home or vote for another candidate, that could be huge come November. His ceiling has been less than 47% in ‘16 & ‘20. If that drops below 45-46% that is great for Harris’ odds. I think his debate performance could be big in helping turn off some of his supporters and if Harris does well, which I expect, she could gain a good portion of the 5-8% who say the are undecided.

  25. I know 1 Trumper well, a used to be good friend of mine. I’m sick of arguing with him. He’s a super low information voter. Didn’t even know the electoral college was a thing. He thought Trump got more votes in 2016 “cause he won”. This year i was not going to engage with him. After Don-Old’s convention speech I thought of something. I dared him to watch both Trump’s and Harris’s acceptance speeches from the conventions. I would watch with him, we’ll watch on YouTube together. And that’s all. We won’t debate anything. Just watch the speeches. And guess what, he won’t do it. No explanation of course. But he’s either afraid of how stupid trump sounds, or embarrassed to see what he has dumped so much personal energy into. Or afraid of feeling dumb after hearing a black woman talk smart use big words..

  34. My conservative friend has flipped as well. He watched speech after speech of madness, and name calling, and hate. Then he saw the media claiming “Trump’s base loves it!” and ” Look at Trump’s base eat this up”. My friend finally realized how far things have gone, he said “I must no longer be a part of the conservative base, I guess I’m a democrat now.” This person is in their 50’s and a life long republican. This will be Trump’s legacy.
