Acceptance of multiculturalism by age group in some countries of EU(and UK) by age group

  1. The difference amongst countries might also refelct the different types of immigration these countries received.

  2. I was going to say NZ should show a difference of 15, not 12, but the 30-40 year olds there tend to be slightly more liberal on this issue then the 18-29year olds.

  3. After all, culture doesn’t exist. It’s just a model, an approximation to describe groups of people. This model tends to work and to be practical very often but it also has its limits, especially if you think it has a value in itself.

  4. What is the benefit ? Like in USA to break the unions and have unlimited cheap labor to work for less then locals ? so they start to hate locals and play numbers game to push for their way ?

    or something else ?

  5. “Younger people more likely to see benefits of diversity”

Lmao they couldn’t at least pretend to be neutral.

If this is a good representation of the coming voter base Europe is utterly fucked.
Thank god multiculturalism is a dirty word in Denmark.

  6. Who would have thought. People that actually have contact with different members of a multicultural society see the benefits.

  7. God I hate polls like this.

Is 10% of the population being of other cultures/religions etc better for society? Perhaps it could be

Is it the same case when the % is more around 60/70 – of course not

  8. I mean, without Italians and Turks in Germany I’d have no Pizzas and Döner… or at least only shitty “Germanfied” knockoffs of them.

Life without them would sure be much worse.

  9. What’s diversity? Believing it’s beneficial to everybody to mingle with other people from other cultures (European for instance) who are compatible with our own values and beliefs or to accept people that are deeply against our culture and beliefs who just want to sponge benefits? I would say the last kind of “diversity” is toxic and a threat.

  10. European “Diversity” – you are allowed to immigrate but you must learn all customs, laws and support ethnocivic nationalism of your EU state, God forbid you want to keep your traditions. And your children should be completely assimilated with their heritage being a cosmetic feature.

    No thanks.

  11. I’m not anti-immigration (lol would be pretty hypocritical if I was) but I don’t really support multiculturalism. At least in the sense that I understand it.

  12. For the past couple years I have steadily grown to think multiculturalism is a big mistake. It’s very important for newcomers to embrace the culture of the country they come to and assimilate. Otherwise you’re inviting big troubles down the line.

  13. I live in the UK and I can say that this doesn’t mean that if you move there and are willing to integrate you’ll have British friends haha

In five years no British friends but I have from lots of places, mostly Germany, Italy and Spain.

  14. Some pro an contra arguments so that everyone can hate me:

    Pro:

    1. Higher selection in cultural goods as: food, clothing, mobile goods, jewelry and so on
    2. Profiting of the brain drain of other countries, skilled labour like engineers
    3. Juvenation of the work force, immigrants are often younger and motivated to work
    4. Long term economic benefits trough an increase of population
    5. Higher exchange of ideas trough intercultural communication
    6. Higher competition between local and foreign competitors

    Contra:

    1. Many immigrants are poorer which leads to higher crimes, burden to social systems and drop in life quality
    2. Strengthening of structures of organized crimes who profit of immigration
    3. Creation of secluded communities, which breeds crime
    4. Cultural clashes
    5. Danger to local economies trough outer competition
    6. Lowering of wages

  15. Strong men make good times. Good times make weak men. Weak men make bad times. Guess where in this never ending cycle are we now.

  16. Why are those three togheter ethnics and race diversity are not a problem. Some religions are dependent on how hardcore people believe it.

  17. Multiculturalism seems nice and many people like it but once the natives notice the crime and the less trusting neighborhoods they always move out into some small homogenous town and don’t come back. This is at least the case for New York City. People only deal with the multiculturalism for as long as they have to because the city is always dirty, many neighborhoods aren’t safe after certain hours, segregated communities form, etc.
