  1. Bookies are well-known for using “it was a glitch” to get out of paying punters. It seems Hoteliers do the same. It’s always blamed on a technical glitch isn’t it.

  2. Did the people booked in already have their bookings returned to them?

  3. Dunno how I feel about this tbh. 

    Sounds like she wanted none of the risk and all of the reward. If she’d paid for the room then and there I’d maybe have a bit more sympathy but she’s recognised herself it’s likely to be really expensive and wants rewarding basically for speculatively clicking a button in advance. 

    It’s the guy who’s booked for a wedding before the tour was announced I feel sorry for. 

  4. They should at least offered some kind of compensation or worked out a deal to re book the room at another time or better location.

  5. It happened with the say Eurovision in Liverpool was announced. Many bookings even those made months in advance for trips were cancelled to try and take advantage of the Eurovision rush.
