  1. Wow. Thanks I fucking hate it. Never offered a renewal after Im assuming the season was over, because there were rumours of contract extension talks during the season. 😭

  2. Well so you wanna tell me that journalists just spread the rumor? Naaaah. Impossible.

  3. So this was a pure tactical decision made by Motta and not a financial decision made by club ? this makes the transfer even more hurtful for me …. IG Motta knows what’s best but totally removing him from squad and not even giving him a chance was very harsh

  4. It was hard reading your comments guys, when all you wrote was about him wanting more money, and it wasn’t the truth 🙁

  5. I would like to extend a warm round of “go fuck yourselves” to all the supposed Juventini in this sub who trashed Chiesa’s character the past three months. He wanted to be on the team. He didn’t have a secret agreement with Inter to leave on a free. The club apparently made the decision we’d prefer to have Manchester United’s rapists and malcontents playing on the wing as opposed to the best Italian attacker currently playing. Un-fucking-forgivable.

  6. Lame. Just make your fake-heartfelt goodbye to the fans and leave it at that. Why fuel the gossip like that? He makes it sound like the actual post was about clearing his name. Glad that this whole affair is over and we can all move on.

  7. Lol why would we believe him? Maybe his PR is trying to clear his name.

  8. Sad day. Always loved fede, still love him. Very likeable player, exciting and brilliant baller. Also very intelligent. The 2 years he actually played in were 2 very lovely years. I wish him all the best, I can see him becoming best winger in the PL hopefully. Happy he chose Liverpool though, that way, me and my grand ma can watch him while he is playing as we already always watch Liverpool for salah.

  9. Okayyy goodbye Chiesa. Im looking forward to the Liverpool vs Man Utd match next Saturday

  10. I’d like to hear both sides of the story. There has to be more to it.

  11. May 16: “I want to stay at this great club, I want to bring Juve back to where it deserves to be. I have spoken to the director about an extension, we will talk about it again at the end of the season.”

August 29: “I would like to clarify the issue of the contract extension. I have not received an offer from Juventus to extend the contract, and therefore there has never been a request from me or my entourage to reduce or increase its value. I learned that I was not part of the project even before I started training with the team.”

  12. Wow so all you assholes were just assholes from the very beginning like I thought.

    Never change r/juve 🖕

  13. At the risk of getting downvoted to oblivion… I will take his words on the lack of renewal offer with a grain of salt.

I’m pretty sure that he was asked in May about the progress with the renewal, and said that he had spoken about it with Giuntoli and that his agents would handle the next talks. And according to several sources he got an offer in December 2023 to renew, even just for a year, to avoid risking to lose him for free.

The truth is probably in the middle: we wanted to renew him before hiring Motta, he waited too long hoping to do a good performance in the Euro (he didn’t), and then Thiago decided to not include him in the team. Simple as that.

  14. Mmm not receiving an offer doesn’t mean much. I mean it could have gone this way: Juve: “how much do you want to renew?” Chiesa: “7M” Juve: “Ok never mind then”

  15. I always stuck with my theory, it wasn’t money it’s something else behind closed doors, probably attitude on field and off and that’s what management didn’t like

Great player and I really liked him and hope he becomes best in business but I’m Juve fan and I will support the club

Good luck Fede and wish you the best, FJ

  16. I’m just extremely salty about all of this and I hope there won’t be any fucking post after this on him. It’s like a painful mutual break up and honestly it’s sounds harsh but we are better without him, he was all drama and not your typical team player either. And don’t get me wrong I loved him so much. He had grinta that’s for sure. But that injury changed everything.

On the other hand the timeline is about right for him leaving if he is still prime Chico he would have left for top5 for that reason. Now he has a mountain to climb in Liverpool.

  17. It sucks that it ended this way but I can’t really blame the management here – I’m sure they had their reasoning + their work so far this summer has been truly exceptional. Just gotta trust the grand plan and hope for the best.

I’m thankful to Chiesa for all he’s done at the club and I’m sorry that the injury ruined what could have been a very special player indeed. I do hope he does well with Liverpool.

Overall, I can admit I’m a bit sad – not about our journey together ending, but about how it ends. Wish it was a better finale but such is life sometimes.

    Onwards and upwards.

  18. About the renewal, there are always 3 sides of a story. Fede’s statement, The club’s (Giuntoli, Motta etc) statement AND THE TRUTH. We will never quite be sure who is right.

  19. Replacing Chiesa with Sancho is crazy. This mercato went from 9/10 to 6/10 for me. Chiesa would have been a symbol of this club.

  20. I’ll get downvotes but I’m gonna say this: he’s lying, partially at least

The reason why I’m saying so stands on what Cherubini said to Agnelli in a conversation tapped by the inquirers: “I don’t see Chiesa as the type of guy who’s going to stay at Juve for a lonf time because his entourage is constantly looking for a wage increase”

It’s true that Thiago Motta didn’t want him so there was no reason to offer him a renewal, but let’s imagine the opposite scenario: would you think that both parties would have found an agreement? I don’t think so. Chiesa was earning 5m net per year, which is the current roof in order to reduce wage costs (let’s ignore Vlahovic, because his contract was signed by a different board), so how much room there was to sign a new contract? Was he still worth a 5m wage?

Sorry but he’s using a real fact to divert from the real point of the discussion

  21. Fam let’s move on.

Thank you Chiesa for your service, I will watch you at Liverpool.

New era is beginning, let’s enjoy there next season.

    Forza Juve!

  22. we don’t know exactly what happened, and we never will. Its in the past now, we need focus on the future.

  23. What a shame. To replace him with Sancho is just a crime.

  24. I actually tend to believe Cherubini’s statements that, without knowing he was being recorded, he said that Chiesa and his agent were only thinking about money. So, either Chiesa got offended and stubbornly decided to leave, or the parties have come to an agreement to make sure everyone gets out of this ‘clean’

  25. I loved Chiesa, I wish he would’ve stayed but the club doesn’t make these decisions randomly. I’m sure there is a deeper reason whether it’s him/his agent demanding more money while in “talks” (he admitted they spoke about an extension in May) and then didn’t get an “official offer” as a consequence or if it’s something behind closed doors (attitude problems, etc.), we will never know.
Hope he does well in the Prem and gets back to his best form.

  26. Chiesa’s team hinted what they were expecting for renewal rate. Juve smelled him talking to Marotta and potentially planning to go to Inter next year for free.Juve decided not to even offer him anything since it would’ve been rejected anyways and decided to move on to other options. Now, Chiesa wants to clear his name but he is not telling the full story.

I like the strategy of not being “held hostage “ by players and agents and simply say anyone is replaceable and JUVE comes first

  27. Imo it’s very likely that he never received an “official” offer, because his agent and the club have not been close enough regarding the salary and/or other stuff l. If they have spoken about it and came to the conclusion that the demands and the clubs intended offer have never been close enough to make an actual official offer, his statement may be true, but it still doesn’t rule out that he and his agent asked for to much money and therefore the management decided to not renew ,because they didn’t think it is worth to invest this much money into that kind of player.

Like technically he isn’t lying, but he probably wouldn’t have accepted any offer which would have made sense for the club.

Let’s not forget that his own father was angry or at least annoyed how Fede and his agent handled the negotiations.

  28. At the end of the day, business is business. These guys dont do this for a hobby. Im thankful for his time here but im also glad we were able to cash in on him before he could leave us for free

  29. I genuinely do not believe that Juventus never proposed a contract, i believe that they didn’t propose the contract he wanted, but not at all seems weird since according to Romeo Agresti, Giovanni Albanese etc, it’s very long time that they had talks about this contract
