I recently sent my laptop (purchased from Elisa) to an Asus service center in Poland under warranty due to a screen issue (discolored pixels). Other than that, the laptop was working perfectly. When I received it back, there was a letter stating that the screen had been replaced. However, the laptop now doesn’t even start. I’ve tried all the Asus troubleshooting steps, but nothing works.
I contacted Asus support, and they informed me that I would need to send it back to the same service center for further inspection. This particular service center has a sketchy reputation and a low Google rating, which makes me doubt their competency. I find it hard to believe that they didn’t even check if the laptop was functioning before returning it to me.
I’ve already made a formal complaint to Asus, requesting a detailed report of the repair and an extension of my warranty. I used a form from the Kilpailu- ja kuluttajavirasto (Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority), but I haven't heard back from them yet.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Does Kilpailu- ja kuluttajavirasto actually help in these cases? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
