Piccadilly Line is getting significant upgrades to correlate with the release of the new trains.
This appears to be what will go under the new tracks. It’s easier to transport rock on train tracks than by lorries.
I hope they used their (Rock) Oyster card
Impulsive thoughts: jump in
I would be tempted to jump inside and see where it goes.
Voices in my head:
You could jump on top, it’d be fun
Nooooo
Ahh go on…
Hah now I feel vindicated. When I first came to London I couldn’t fathom why they kept saying, “There’s a goods service on all other lines.”
Well turns out there is a goods service and my shitty hearing wasn’t entirely flawed!
Also the airport bus in Edinburgh isn’t saying “Ethnic doors closing” at each stop, despite my brain hearing that.
Just transporting parts of an alien spaceship no big deal
The Spice must flow
I love industrial/goods trains! Such cute little rolling stock I see here.
You don’t get them down here in Plymouth ever since the industrial era docks were all demolished and their adjoining rail lines lifted. Seems I stand a better chance of seeing something industrial in London…
Piccadilly line runs near my house. I literally do see them every day 🙂
They mostly come at night. Mostly.
Looked like potatoes, I was genuinely fascinated
All the produce being shipped in for the Oasis gigs

Well I’ve already got black lung from the tube, it might as well be a mine.
There’s something therapeutic about watching these dusty freight trains roll through.
NOT IN SERVICE – Pfft Hold My Pint
It’s just a giant trainset isn’t it. He just got board and wanted to put a different train on.
