  1. Dana basically posed nothing but Trump/MAGA talking points.

It’s just as what many expected that the media wants to interview Kamala mainly to get her response to Trump’s attacks, so they can complete their “he said she said” bullshit.

  2. >There were no questions on Ukraine. On the relationship of the Trump team to Russia. On Trump and Vance’s attitudes toward women. On Roe v. Wade. On the hold the NRA has on Trump. On Trump’s terrible record with COVID. On Trump’s disastrous national debt exploding record on the economy. On Trump and corruption. On Trump’s convictions. On Trump’s cabinet and VP rejecting him. No questions on future challenges the United States might face. No questions how to ensure the elections are fair and secure. No questions, in short on any of the big issues in the race ahead.

The new owners of CNN have been very clear in wanting it to be the next Fox News, so most of these weren’t a surprise. No questions at all on abortion, that seems like a very glaring omission.

  3. I mean out of the park…it was more like a clutch double when all you needed was a double. And I’m quite happy with it.

I think Kamala staying a little low but still performing well while Trump is talking about giving everyone free IVF (which is freaking OUT the Pro-Lifers) is where she needs to be.

  4. It’s funny to see in other threads that there’s people (most likely MAGATs) who think the mainstream media doesn’t have a double standard vis a vis Trump and Kamala/Dems. “Whaddya mean? The media criticizes Trump all the time!” No they don’t. Actual journalists would constantly call out the insanity of a 34 time felon, 90 some felonies pending, election denying, adjudicated rapist being the republican nominee. They would have on the likes of Lindsay Graham, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Jim Jordan and grill them about how they can support and double-down on a candidate that failed to honor the peaceful transfer of power (and is, you know, a fucking felon).

The GOP would not be treated seriously by any media outlet that has integrity. Yet the CNNs, ABCs, NBCs, treat Trump as “quirky, but problematic” and pretend republicans are good faith actors. Republicans should be given ZERO mainstream platform outside their FOX and Newsmax fringes until sanity returns to the party.

  5. I knew CNN had fallen off the moment my MAGA parents started watching it again.

  6. The fact that CNN and other organizations isn’t have a field day with the interview shows it did not go the way it intnends.

Altogether VP Harris picked a strategic time to do the interview. It is right before Labor Day weekend where most Americans will be focused on other activities.

Also it is right before the debate. Even if there was a stumble with this interview the debate provided an opportunity to reclaim the narrative.

All I can say is that CNN didn’t seem to ask any original questions.

  7. you’ll think its pretty decent, but the entire force of putin’s bot farms was unleashed on the interview’s comment sections on youtube. those ivans really went all out.

  8. Yeah kinda got this same point watching the debates

When Dems are asked about healthcare it’s always a how much will this cost framing instead of a how much will this save or how much more. It will help people

The debate will be the same

Journalist thing they need to do this for balance or to seem tough or something

    Here is a simple question

‘Trump appointed Judges who swore and underoath they would not over throw roe v wade but went on to overturn roe v wade now 16 states have 6 week abortion bans many without exception for rape what steps would you take Kamala to re I state roe v wade?”

  9. CNN that was the lamest excuse for an interview I’ve ever seen. Glad that Harris did not bite.

  10. CNN showing no respect for there viewers time in my opinion. CNN spent the last month complaining how Harris was avoiding the press and she needed to sit down with the media because voters demanded it. Then they ask stupid questions about what she thinks about Trumps insults.

  11. As usual Dana Bash focused mostly on political gossip than what voters actually want to know about how their govt will impact their lives.

It’s an inherently lazy and self-centered style of journalism.

  12. Dana is the worst- I can’t stand her. She was literally trying to make her look bad with stupid questions no one wanted to hear – why did you flip flop on fracking – flip flop? Have you met my opponent who flip flops every 30 min and try to overthrow the government? Then ask about The Biden economy – really Dana, we were in a fucking free fall from bleach man who dismantled the CDC- fuk Dana bash and CNN- bunch of privileged trust fund host . I do like caitlyn collins though

  13. They did fine. Next time, I hope her team pays attention, and not let her sit in such a low chair. Wrong optics

  14. CNN left the middle of the road and is conservative media now.

  15. Fake ~~~Fox~~~ News and **C**ertainly **N**ot **N**ews are working hard who can be the worst network. These right-wing billionaires owning the networks is telling.

  16. There aren’t any trustworthy news outlets remaining. It’s why I rely on things like direct quotes and the context of them instead of yellow journalism–and I check several different outlets to see the difference in reporting.

I’m still waiting for Epstein’s full list to be published by a whistleblower.

  17. She crushed it. I said in other comments that she has adapted since her last presidential run, and everything about her now shows her subtlety, sophistication, and smarts. I want this person in the White House, not some fake tanned idiot with policies that will trash the US.

  18. Asking about them being deceptive or lying when the alternative is the world’s biggest and fattest liar and running mate who once described himself as a “Never Trumper” was rich.

  19. CNN has become Fox Jr.

They basically are not interested in the truth anymore, only to get more views whatever story brings that.

  20. Bash bashing Harris for a squeaky fart while Trump shits in the background is what I expected. I was both right and disappointed to be so.

  21. Okay, seriously — for the people out there who are still somehow unable to decide whether to vote for Trump or Harris: what is the big question that you need answered here?

Because the media seems to think it’s really important that Harris and Walz sit down and answer questions that could could easily be gleaned from their DNC speeches.

So what isn’t being asked? Or what hasn’t already been said into a microphone on camera that you really need to know the answer to?

Again: this is for the people on the fence. The people who don’t already know who they are voting for.

  22. The questions were angling so hard for “gotcha” moments. Most of them didn’t dignify a true response. Good on Harris for often turning them around to discuss her accomplishments and proposals.

  23. I’ve said it before: I have zero idea how Dana Bash got to be where she is. Completely lacking in any skillful navigating of the tenets of even basic journalism.

She a bad interviewer, her questions are rote and simplistic and she has the charisma of a concrete pole.

  24. As always, a Democratic president and administration has tried to improve the economy and people’s lives with one hand tied behind their back with congressional Republicans trying to sabatoge every legislative advance. Still the economy impressively advanced, child tax credits worked lifting children from poverty. America’s post pandemic economy and inflation should be judged in comparison to their other G7 countries not to the wild fantasy boasts of a Republican party falsely claiming 2016 to 2020 was the best economy ever.

CNN serves their own interests always now.

  25. The chyrons were fucking disgraceful.
‘Harris blames Trump for pandemic job losses’ umm no, she didn’t.
    *slow clap* CNN

  26. Cannot understand why they went with her after the dismal performance she and Tapper put in at the debate.

  27. What’s happened at CNN? They used to be fairly balanced and I did love Jake Tapper, but they seem to be leaning more and more to the right each day? I thought half of those questions were written by the MAGA camp. Crazy.

  28. I disagree with the author that asking what she would do on her first day in office was a silly question with no real purpose. Hello, what has Trump said he would do on his first day in office? All kinds of crazy stuff.  It gave us a comparison.  He plans to become a dictator and seek revenge on and on and she….will get to work.

I thought it was brilliant of Dana to ask her and Walz about all the GOP talking points.  How can they now find fault with that? And that’s what undecided voters want to know, at least some do, so might as well.

Including letting her respond to the now she turned black statement.  She handled it beautifully, like an adult leader who won’t give idiots the fight they want.

She let Trump be the only idiot in the room, so to speak, by ignoring his bait.

My only criticism is that Kamala needs to keep more eye contact.  But, that’s it.

I also would have liked Dana to ask the Coach more questions, but maybe she does in the full interview, which I have not seen yet, just the clips they have posted on YouTube.

  29. People don’t care about interviews.

CNN and media outlets want the interviews because of money and ratings.

  30. People forget that most media talking heads are multi-millionaires. Odds are high that most of them are for Trump because of his promise of tax cuts. Not saying they agree with him at the MAGA level, just agree with him in regard to their wallet and asked the questions accordingly.

  31. Not en electrifying host, but, the thing is, she pressed her in areas that will make republicans feel like she did her job and it wasn’t a puff piece. I think that was the right person for the job.

I still wish Walz would have answered his weapons of war question better.

He was literally deployed to war. He was deployed overseas but not in a combat zone. He could have just said that and apologized for insinuating he was in a combat zone.

  32. What I don’t get is why Dana Bash? I have never understood her lead anchor status. She’s so meh. Her questions were insipid, predictable Maga mouth breathing.
