Hi guys, I'm currently driving though Norway. And I drove across this tunnel around Bergen,, in front of it there was crossed 60 sign and Tesla told me the speed limit was 80 so I thought so but after I passed the 2 radars there was a 70 sign like 200 meters in front of the end of the tunnel. Can anybody tell me if the limit is 70 across the whole tunnel? I looked through some posts and saw the fines… I had autopilot on 82km/h… Just want to know if I should be prepared to pay around 5000kr 😭
I'm not blaming the car I know I should know the speed limits.

Unless signed, 80 out of town. So if you drove past the “end of 60 zone” sign, and no others, you’re meant to be doing max 80.
If there are radars in the 80 zone, they’re set to catch you going 80.
A new sign is required when the speed limit changes, for example 70 from 80. So if you’re going past a sign saying 70, you can be fairly sure that the speed before that sign was something other than 70.
It’s 80 and changes to 70 at the end of the tunnel.
The signs tend to show the speed limit ahead of you, not behind you.
>Tesla told me the speed limit was 80
*Never* trust what the car tells you. When I had a Model 3 it used to tell me a stretch of road with a 60 limit was a 100 limit.
Here’s the link to Vegvesenets map of speed limits, specifically that tunnel:
https://vegkart.atlas.vegvesen.no/#kartlag:geodata/@-30264,6734630,13/hva:hva%5B0%5D%5BabsoluteIntervals%5D=false&hva%5B0%5D%5Bid%5D=105/valgt:204175403:105
It’s an 80-zone.
If I remember correctly, speed cameras can only issue tickets to Scandinavian license plates. This may have been updated, but was at least last I checked some years ago.
Edit: they can issue tickets, however at least some years ago, wasn’t prioritized, so many cases were dropped.
I live in Bergen. The speed limit in that tunnel is 80 until you get to the 70 sign
You did it right, the speed reduces to 70 at the tunnel exit.
Note:
If there are two signs that say «70», one to your right and one to the left of the road, it means «70 starts here»
If there is one sign that says «70» to your right, it means «this is a reminder that the limit is 70 on this stretch».
(Apparently a lot of people never learned this)
