  3. I’m starting to think that these film festival standing ovations (Venice, Cannes, etc., etc.) are **planned** and **hyped** solely to drive movie interest with underwhelming films.

    Did Harrison Ford truly deserve his own standing ovation for his work on the last **Indiana Jones** movie? No. He probably does deserve it for a lifetime in the film industry, but they hyped the ovation around the movie solely to drive interest with an under advertised movie.

    It makes the individual Actor, Director etc feel good and I’m ok with that.

  19. She’s spent MILLIONS of dollars and a decade doing petty and spiteful things to her ex Brad Pitt and he’s mostly been silent and taken it on the chin.

    One was he opened a vineyard or something and she bought something.. land maybe. That made it to where he’d fail. I’d have to refresh myself. All I remember for sure is it was 100% a petty spite thing.

    And I can’t be certain but it does seem like she poisoned his kids against him somewhat. Or she definitely didn’t have his back as they had issues with him if that was the case. She gets all this credit for being such a great person but anyone who does shit like that.. the anger and vengeance says way more than the stuff her PR team sets up for her.

    I don’t like her much, but Kudos if she did well and people liked her performance. That’s her day job and I should keep it separate from her personally. I’m not a fan of her work or anything but can appreciate others are so have at it.

  24. I have a hard time with these headlines. Like everyone else is saying, that’s a long friggin time. I went to the Price is Right and Ellen 10 years ago in the same week and my hands hurt from all of the forced clapping. I can’t imagine clapping that long for something I enjoyed or was inspired by.
