  1. Make no mistake, if the evil weird old man retakes the White House, women’s rights will be stripped. Harris/Walz 2024.

  2. Flip flop goes the broken clock who never follows through anyway.

  3. and yet NO media will ever hold him to task for it.

He’s 100% lying his ass off and pandering for votes is all.

  4. I hope every woman in America hears him. And Votes.

  5. His internal polls must be really bad especially on this issue.

  6. And yet it’s ridiculous to point out that Trump surrounds himself with people who want an abortion ban.

  7. >Speaking with NBC News, the Republican presidential nominee shared that he intended to vote in favor of abortion rights when it comes up on the ballot in Florida, believing that a “six-week [ban] is too short.”

Republicans are still campaigning that the Democratic Party wants to legalize abortion up to the point of birth. What setting a time period like 6-weeks or longer really means is that after a certain point a pregnant women suffering an emergency which could cause a miscarriage will be turned away from medical care. At what point should that happen? This is not a hypothetical. It is happening now.

  8. It’s a shame that Trump said these things on camera. A true shame. Democrats should be putting his words in an ad today. “See! Trump can’t maintain a position that he knows is a loser. The man can’t stick to anything!”

  9. I agree that he was answering without answering the question. More weeks does not equal voting for the initiative.

  10. Trump was bragging about overturning roe v wade

  11. Reaching deep into his old bag of tricks. He is a con man. Nothing new. Nothing fresh. Get ready for jail old man.

  12. How do your rewind that one? Say he *misspoke*? Or *was only joking*? Seems like an impossible task.

Oh wait, this is what they went with:

    >But that wasn’t what his campaign had expected him to say. In a statement to NPR, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt left the political decision ajar, insisting that “President Trump has not yet said how he will vote on the ballot initiative in Florida, he simply reiterated that he believes six weeks is too short.”

So, if he really believes that, then he would vote against it, right? I’m not sure that your attempt at a *he will vote the way you think he should vote* will be believed by either side of your audience.

Still seems like an impossible task.

  13. I watched an old interview with Trump (way before he got into politics) where he said he was “all the way” in favor of abortion rights. I think that’s his real position, likely because he’s saved his own ass a few times by paying for abortions. I think killing Roe v. Wade was an attempt at pandering to conservatives for votes, but this interview was another instance of his handlers failing to get him to stay on script.

  14. This douchebag says whatever he thinks is the ‘right’ answer when he’s asked something. He has no actual position on anything or any real understanding of the issues and just waits for others to clean up the mess he makes later. It’s going to be great watching him get rolled by Harris at the debate when she pushes back on him, something the media won’t do out of fear and greed.

  15. Poor man. Dementia is a terrible thing. We need someone younger, more vibrant, and less weird.

  16. Trump at this point is just a old man in mental decline. It’s his handlers and his team propping him up. It’s the sycophants that he surrounded himself with that are trying to stay in power.

  17. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://newrepublic.com/post/185494/trump-team-rewind-florida-abortion-comment) reduced by 84%. (I’m a bot)

    > "We will bring back the American Dream, bigger, better, stronger, and just better, bigger, better, we love the American Dream," Trump said in his opening remarks, appearing to immediately lose track of what he was saying.

    > Back behind the mic, Trump made lengthy remarks about trucks, complained about being the most persecuted American president in history, and whined about Harris's interview with Dana Bash scheduled to air Thursday evening.

    > Not dwelling on his major announcement for long, Trump quickly changed subjects to inflation and the so-called "Migrant invasion." Although he mentioned he would soon be concluding, he carried on complaining about several different issues including an altercation Monday, in which Trump's staffers reportedly shoved an employee at Arlington National Cemetery who was trying to prevent them from illegally filming after a memorial for 13 service members killed during the U.S.'s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

  18. He has literally no concept of abortion whatsoever, I’m sure of it.

  19. He is just lying some more. He will just cover it up with more lies. No big deal.

  20. Someone should ask him how many abortions his girlfriends chose to have.

No way Trump uses a condom.

  21. >He also elaborated that he believed there should be exceptions in abortion restrictions in instances of rape or incest…

When Trump raped that girl and threw money at her, telling her to get an abortion, he’s being very consistent.

  22. Trump will say what ever he needs to say to get elected. And, Trump has warned everyone that, he is a snake.

  23. I actually laughed out loud when I heard this in the news. Trying, poorly, to sound moderate while torpedoing his anti-abortion/evangelical base. It’s like he and/or his advisors are trying to lose.

  24. Was it the one where he realized he himself should be aborted?

  25. I wish somebody would follow me around and tell everyone I leave in my wake what I really meant when I say something stupid.

    Me to cashier “f-you”

“he doesn’t really mean f-you. He means have a great weekend.” – handler
