We put small revision books in the toilet roll holders in the jacks. I didn’t use them in the end though.
How are they cheating, and more importantly how are they caught?
Convert it to continuous assessments anyway. Exams are pointless and outdated.
Easier exams than we had and they still had to cheat. I’m finally old enough that I feel the need to disparage the work ethic of ‘the youth’.
I had some notes in my shoes. Into the Jack’s for a peek, easy.
Notes in my bra and more written on my legs (we had to wear our uniforms for the exams so it was easy to see through the tights if you pulled at them a bit
Getting a Log Table Book from an earlier exam and taking it out of the Exam Hall. Bring it home and using a light pencil fill it with notes. The Log Books had to have a Stamp on it.
Other one was to get a sheet of paper the same colour as the Exam Paper. Simply type up your notes and print on one page. Have it under your jumper and slip it in to the Exam Papers as soon as it is handed to you.

I wrote my notes on the inside of my eyelids. Young lads these days….
Years ago I literally saw people pull out full sheets from there pockets of pre prepped answers and slot them into the exam papers for things like history and English
I didn’t cheat in any of mine but my invigilator just read the whole time and barely looked up, while the one next door slept and students had to go wake him up if they wanted to leave early. Would’ve been pure handy if I wanted to but I’m too anxious to even consider doing it.
