Oasis is reuniting and Yugoslavia is on the brink of war… the 90ies are back baby!
Good, I don’t know why the big reaction when serbs always act like victims
Good
This shit again?
As they should.
I used to support Kosovo but I have just given up on them. They don’t keep honoring the peace agreement the EU and US brokered for them and violate it multiple times.
It reminds me of Palestinian behavior. Jesus christ guys, we’re trying to find common ground and a solution for you and you shoot yourself in the foot again and again and again.
>Elbert Krasniqi, Kosovo’s minister of local administration, confirmed the closure of five so-called parallel institutions in the north — where most of the ethnic Serb minority lives — writing in a Facebook message that they “violate the Republic of Kosovo’s constitution and laws.”
Can somebody elaborate? What are (well, were) those institutions responsible for and how does that violate the constitution of Kosovo?
Oh boy, another Balkan conflict coming up.
Same shit as always, every time Kosovo or Serbia have problems they escalate the “conflict”. People still cant figure out our politicians have been working together for years, the whole Open Balkan shit is just so they can move drugs easirer, supported by the EU ofc.
I can just imagine all those Western politicians face palming because they cannot go back and deny Kosovo independence rofl
If they had denied it and left it as part of Serbia, they’d probably have another NATO/EU member, opposed to Russia, their lithium mine, the same base they have in Kosovo now.
This way they get idiots bickering and possibly escalating, while their project keeps ignoring and doing many of the same things Serbs did in the 90s under the pretense of establishing order rofl.
Kosovo themselves turned out to fight for Serbian interests better than Serbia did.
Finally a government that gets shit done
Oh…this is like the license plate issue on steroids.
The government of Kosova did the right thing. Any other country in a similar situation would have done the same. See, Serbia has constantly tried to play the following game:
1. Prevent the serbs of Kosova from integrating by ostracizing and sometimes even attacking anyone who dares to do so.
2. Maintain a status quo where the Kosovar government de-facto has no control over that part of the country, and any attempt from the government to gain any sort of control would be met with violence from mobs funded and organized by Serbia.
3. Fund parallel institutions that exasperate the status quo.
The government of Kosova finds itself at a stalemate: it can’t take down these institutions without being portrayed as an anti-minority oppressor (see the comments on this reddit post, for example), and it can’t let them continue because the longer this is allowed to happen the harder it is to reverse.
You have to ask yourself the following question: who got hurt here? If the claim is that the local Serbs get negatively impacted, how so? Not in abstract terms. Concretely, how is this a negative thing for them?
