  1. Do you live in Goodluck Hope? Was just looking at flats there earlier today.

  2. If this is *actually* intentional for filming doesn’t it take the piss out of ulez a bit 👁️👄👁️

  3. They aren’t London fire engines so must be filming

  4. Wow, that was massive. Big beams of black smoke were on top of the Thames. There were three big explosions indeed which I could hear even our doors and windows were closed. But by looking at how quickly it was put out, it makes sense that it was a planned one.

  5. This may be a dumb question, but can a film industry person on this sub point us to where the cameras would be? It seems pretty sparse for a film set.

  6. So that’s ok but I can’t have a cigarette outside a pub!?

  7. BBC logo on whatever that structure is. Filming maybe but something has not gone to plan.

  8. BBC does not say it was for filming:

**Firefighters are dealing with a fire following reports of several explosions opposite the O2 arena in east London.**

Terrified residents posted on social media site X about the noise and smoke billowing across the the river Thames towards the venue – before police said the incident was part of pre-planned filming.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) said they had sent 20 firefighters and four fire engines to the scene, near Dock Road and Trinity Buoy Wharf in Silvertown.

“There is no risk to the public”, the Metropolitan Police said.

  9. Half expecting it to be some youtube “prankster” who’s blagged a permit pretending to be a legit film production.

  10. Hmmm is the thing on fire stating “BBC news” on it?!?

  11. Late to comment, but I think it’s worth mentioning neither of those fire engines that turn up are LFB fire engines.

Could be for filming purposes, or could be the private fire service they pay to be on standby.
