Anger as hunt runs on to animal farm in front of families

  1. Sounds cruel but farmers need to start shooting these dogs when they come onto their land.
Ok wouldn’t do any good in this situation as it’s not the best idea to discharge a firearm with families etc around.
Still would send a clear message to the hunts.

  2. Putting aside the “fun” of hunting down a fox and watching it get torn to shreds, the presumption that they can just go where they want with little recourse is mortifying (although unsurprising).

  3. the local communities ought to aim to identify the participants and refuse to serve them in pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, food and retail outlets throughout the whole area. name and shame.

  4. My girlfriend told the hunt to get off her work’s land today. She told them she wants fox’s on her land and that their hounds aren’t welcome. I think they were quite taken aback. They sort of feel like the whole valley is their property and that they shouldn’t need permission. I don’t think they’ve been told to fuck off often enough.

  5. “Why would a hunt go on to private land?”
“The scent they were following went on to private land.”
“Why would the scent layer go on to private land?”
    “They wouldn’t.”
    “What would?
    “A fox”
So not only illegally trespassing but probably illegally hunting foxes too.

How hard is it. You rip animals apart with dogs for fun, thats cruelty to animals, your banned from keeping animals. “What about, my horse and my dogs? Im a farmer I live on a farm” “tough shit”

  6. As an aside, the soaps are fond of schooling us on social issues, and preaching on behalf of various groups and minorities. They’re always pushing storylines about poverty, mental health, criminality, abuse, and race. Has Emmerdale, which is set within a rural community, ever had the balls to get stuck into the problem of hunting and other countryside cruel sports. When’s one of the Dingles going to be caught badger baiting, or killing protected birds of prey? When’s the local hunt going to get some on-screen grief? When are the young people of the village going to be traumatised by witnessing an animal being torn apart on Home Farm, whist pursued by Kim Tate and her posh mates? C’mon Emmerdale, I dare ya!
