  1. >Iran’s Judiciary on Saturday handed a total of 12 years in prison to Iranian blogger Hossein Shanbehzadeh who was arrested in June after posting a single dot in response to a tweet by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

    >Shanbehzadeh posted the dot in May in a seemingly innocuous move but was arrested a few weeks later, after his reply garnered significantly more likes than Khamenei’s original tweet, drawing widespread attention. His temporary detention order was extended in July for another month.

  2. They are trying hard to make NorthKorea a living paradise compared to Iran. Afghanistan Iran NorthKorea how do you rate them ?

  3. Just for the folks who think their awful post being removed from a social media site by the social media company is government censorship.

This is what that actually looks like.

  4. That’s what you get with a dictator from day one

  5. Still a fan of … personally, but I’m starting to dig the .

  6. How can people just completely ruin the life of someone for a simple reaction or opinion? A whole life, ruined, irrevocably steered in a restricted and oppressed direction, for the ‘crime’ of openly stating an undesirable reaction.

What a sickness in our species.

May Khamenei suffer ruin and pain greater then that he and his cronies inflict upon all the people who stand up to him in any way and get disproportionately punished for it.

  7. Getting arrested cos he got more likes than the Supreme leader? More like Supreme leader of cry babies.

  8. Such show of force from Iran’s Khamenei, many leaders in the West wish for themselves.

  9. Damn
These the guys telling American pro-pali students they’re “on the right side of history”….funny timeline

  10. Remember when Iranians took to the streets, risking everything to overthrow this regime, and the world stood by in silence? The list is long, but leaders like Josep Borrell and even Michael Higgins, who recently praised this regime and sent them well wishes, chose to look the other way. Those in power, who had every chance to support the people not just to free Iran, but to bring stability to the entire Middle East – did nothing.

  11. What is Elon’s opinion on this?
I thought he said he would defend people prosecuted for their free speech on X.

  12. People without any ties to Iran in safe countries should start ratioing and otherwise mocking the regime people’s tweets. Solidarity.

  13. and this is precisely why “democracy” in the US (and likeminded allies ) is so important (and why fucking conman rapist misogynist liar selfish douchebag son-of-a-bitch Donnie must be kept away from government at all costs)

  14. Someone needs to put those twitter bots in use and ratio every single tweet from that amazing leader lol

  15. In before someone gets 30 years for posting a clip of “Not Like Us” to a Khamenei tweet.

  16. Modern historians of Reddit: is this the first time a person’s gone to jail because they ratio’d someone?
