Nothing is planned at Bayern on deadline day except Vidović’s departure to Mainz on loan. Goretzka is definitely staying. Coman could still go to Saudi Arabia but he’s hesitating to take Al Hilal’s offer. If no European offer emerged by tonight, then Coman is likely to stay at Bayern

1. Incredible that we managed to have a disappointing transfer window while finally signing Palhinha and Olise.

2. I feel like not selling some of the players that our board wished to sell will be a blessing in disguise. Just from CL alone there will be 2 group stage games more , maybe even 4 if we dont make top 8 which can always happen. This means that until mid february you basically have a game every mid week. You will need 2 players more than some years ago just to deal with the increased schedule and injuries that are bound to happen.

   The winter transfer window will also become much more important if a team recognizes that they will have to play the intermediate round in CL mid february against another good team to qualify for the knockout stage while struggling / having injuries they will use the winter transfer window to improve their squad. So if you really feel like you dont need Goretzka and Coman there is a very high chance that offers will come in in the winter transfer window.

   So i am happy that for once we have not done the mistake of selling too many players.
