  1. I really don’t understand the need of this international break, the Euros recently finished and club football just started, what’s the point of needlessly giving the players extra games to play?

  2. We’re not getting much out of our left side. A few changes I’d like to see made for next match to fix everything are Pahlinha for Pavlovic. Move Musiala to LW, Olise to AM and Gnabry to RW.

Gnabry as a hybrid RWB like he was yesterday is okay against a side content to sit back for 90 minutes but playing him there full time seems like a waste of Boey.

And with Musiala there isn’t enough space when he plays AM. There is always at least a CB & CM covering that he always tries to dribble through. if he’s on left wing he’s 1v1 with a fullback and is pulling somebody else out of position to help cover.

  3. I hope we are looking at lbs for next season.
Davies is gone and bad anway and i dont like rapha as a starting lb sub is fine.
Hernandez was left out of last milan game i think. If we act fast we could get it done early for next season.
If the plan for musiala is lw he should get an lb that is overlapping and allows him to cut inside while giving a passing option outside or dragging 1 defender away.

With müller showing great form so far and wanner lookig great aswell we dont need to all in wirtz as hard and could go for wanner +müller reduced wage for next year.

  4. > Robert Lewandowski pays tribute to Thomas Müller after becoming Bayern’s record player: “Thomas was fascinating in many ways as attacking partner. He’s the perfect multitasker. He speaks almost the entire game and gives commands. But that never distracted him from finding the optimal free space for himself. I have only seen that with him; he is fully committed to the team. And even though he talks so much, we still understood each other without words in the decisive moments; that’s another thing I really appreciated about Thomas: one look, one movement, and the other knows exactly what’s about to happen

    > When I think about our relationship, two words come to mind: unique and honest. He’s the kind of teammate you could only wish for, who is also happy for his teammates from the bottom of his heart. I can still remember the incredible game when I scored five goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg. When the game was over, I hadn’t even realized what had just happened. Then Thomas came to me and said: “You have just achieved something unique, people will still be talking about it in 20 years. Please enjoy it and let people celebrate you.” – And then he pushed me towards the fans in the Südkurve

    > Speaking of celebrations: He can also give it his all and set the tone. We celebrated one of his birthdays together in “H’ugo’s” and that evening was definitely one of my best “Müller moments”. I hope that Thomas’s intelligence and knowledge will become the foundation of his favourite club after his retirement. Because I’m certain: FC Bayern is the future of Thomas Müller – and Thomas Müller is the future of FC Bayern.”

long read (sorry for that), but very sweet

  5. >Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: “Thomas was born in the area, has been through all the youth teams, grew up here and speaks from the heart to the fans, both on and off the pitch. The fans love such identification figures. We have to be grateful to Louis van Gaal for his courage in putting his trust in him – that’s what we want from a coach: to challenge and promote talent. Müller fulfilled and still fulfills all the criteria we want. I also always say that he is one of the best value players there has ever been. He’s never injured, you don’t need a back-up for him, and to be honest: there’s no replacement for him either – because his style of play is unique

    >In my eyes, Thomas belongs without question in the same league as club icons like Franz Beckenbauer or Gerd Müller – because it is no coincidence that FC Bayern celebrated the most successful decade in the club’s history with him. Thomas never has anything to reproach himself for at the end of his career: because he always got 100% out of his talent. Thomas is not only made of really good stuff in terms of character; he is genuine handcraft made in Bavaria. He is a Bavarian icon like no other.”

I’ve got work in 15 minutes and these tributes are getting me all teary lmao

  6. From the active players ,Neuer is the second highest in appearances. at 524. Don’t think this will be broken for a while, well hopefully by Musiala or Pavlovic

  7. I loved reading those bits about Muller from Kalle, Lewy and Neuer I found on twitter.

  8. I also loved Stephan Lehmann announcing the substitution of Müller and congratulating him on his record appearance. My eyes maybe got a bit sweaty.

  9. Was anyone at the stadium yesterday? I’m curious what Müller was saying while in the stands

  10. Gnabry is so weird.

He is suddenly back to being super fit, still running more than Coman late into the game despite Coman being a sub. Then his great assist for Müller.

Also the way he celebrated that missed pen by Freiburg like we won the UCL. 😭

He is just locked in right now.

  11. What do you think about Gravenberch performance lately ?

  12. Cant believe we have to wait 2 fuckin weeks for proper football again. Who gives a shit about any national team games right now, as if any performance of a team or player would matter right now. Everything will be completly different before the WC anyway

  13. After yesterday game i wonder why kompany changed his tactics after preseason.

Against spurs we pressed like madmen and look way more dynamic and energetic. Also we created way more opportunities (tottenhem didn’t sit back and defended so maybe that’s why).

Now we try to controll the game more but we don’t press that much and look a little bit slow at times. Sometimes it feels like we try to save energy but there weren’t even moments in last two games when we increased the intensity drastically.
