Rodrygo Cooked on that Right Wing vs Betis. Man’s work ethic and commitment is crazy and deserves more appreciation.

  1. He needs to play there. I don’t wanna see him on the left unless Vinicius is injured

  2. There’s a reason why he’s a starter. And here you can see he played a better game than Vinicius.

    Mbappe Rodrygo Vinicius

  3. Rookie fans don’t know about play creation and skill only goals. Rodrygo has been one of the best players on the team for a while now

  4. Didnt watch the game. Did he stay mostly on the right?

  5. He was a bit lackadaisical here and there; not enough urgency a few times tracking back and put Dani under unnecessary pressure a couple of times. Where the whole team seemed to have more hustle today he was still a step or two slower on helping defensively. But I love the kid and hope he keeps stepping up offensively.

  6. This sub and fans don’t want to admit it but Rodrygo > Vini

  7. And there were people who said Brahim should start over rodrygo🤡 Brahim is much better at super sub role. Plus he doesn’t have the defensive work that rodrygo has

  8. This is a RM position. Deeper than a RW position.

This allowed more balance in midfield

  9. Rodrygo es un crack. If you play footy you know what’s up.

  10. Apart from mbappe’s goals and valverde playmaking, rodrygo was our best player. Very smooth dribbling, getting into the penalty box also a world class pass to mbappe altho he didn’t score. Excellent mentality throughout the game

  11. ofc this lad deserves a high rating but not 8 for sure + again he was too eager to score so he went to left again cause right side was better at defence. i would be much happier to see the lads team play rather than individually contribute

  12. Mendy is an average player at best, there is no way he could get 7+ rating! The guy provides zero when it comes moving the ball forward.

  13. Rodrygo has been our best attacker this season so far

  14. He was great yesterday, all the defensive work he did gets overlooked but he helped Carva a lot

  15. I always keep saying this. Rodrygo is so good off the ball. All these Rodrygo haters don’t know ball. You saw what happened last game against Las Palmas when brahim started over him. Shit was a mess

  16. Apart from the first goal and 2 chances, he was mostly invisible and not involved in the build up. He is too passive imho. Opponents don’t fear him when he has the ball

  17. Back in Zidane’s time, Rodrygo was brought in to expand the game’s width since the starter (Asensio) stayed more central. Glad to see Rodrygo can still play wide on the right

  18. Where are the “He plays poorly in RW, sell him off as a LW to someone else” morons now

  19. I’ve been saying it all along that we haven’t been actually been playing a classic 4-3-3 because it isn’t really a 4-3-3 when your RW doesn’t stay wide right but constantly drifts to the left. I also said that I wanted to see Rodrygo actually glued to the right touchline for 90 minutes for once.

Is RW Rodrygo’s best position? No.

Is Rodrygo a world class RW? No.

Is Rodrygo as a RW still a decent player? Yes, he got 30 G/A playing mostly from the right in 22/23.

Is it better to play with Rodrygo as RW than to play with no RW at all? Hell yes.

Is RW the only possible position where Rodrygo can start when everyone is fit? Yes. This 4-1-2-1-2 bullshit with Rodrygo at CAM will only lead to the 3 LWs bullshit we’ve seen vs Mallorca.

Will he get better at playing RW if he consistently plays there instead of drifting all over the field? Yes.

We don’t need 11 world class players all over the pitch to win games. If we have a servicable RW that actually occupies that position and stretches the field we’ll be fine with the talent we have in the other attacking positions. Look at Barca balling with Raphinha, a very limited player who’s best position is taken by Lamine Yamal.
