Insane work rate and dude was literally everywhere all the bloody time. Read the game like no one else and had the skills to build the attack and score himself when he got the chance.

Not a popular opinion but Vincent Kompany. Not only a very high IQ defender, he was also very vocal as a captain. His footballing IQ has translated well into his managerial career.
