A random fact I recently noticed: Italy has exactly the same population as the Balkan countries combined – 59 millions.

  1. Italian city states managed to unite in 19th century. Balkan city states may unite in 21th or 22nd century.

  2. It amazes me how small Greece’s population actually is irl is given how large their diaspora is in Australia (particularly in Melbourne), and just general presence in culture here and global prominence, compared to Romania for example. Similar with Ireland I guess

  3. TIL being in the Balkans is considered offensive. Unless you are Turkey, in that case not being part in the Balkans is offensive.

  4. Huh. I don’t know why in my mind Romania has more or less the same population as Greece but in reality it’s double? 💀

  5. This provocation will not pass.

Croatia never was and never will be a Balkan country.

    Take this back immediately.

  6. Someone in the Balkans passes away.

Italians gather as the lots are drawn to see who is to be sacrificed,
