Sounds like more good news for the UK led tempest 6th Gen stealth fighter. What with Japan now working with the UK on engines, sensors and armaments, it looks like Japan is now officially the unofficial 4th Partner with Sweden, UK and Italy.
Good to see the UK is branching out of Europe for joint developments.

I just wonder when everyone is going to skip the other steps and just merge the various western fighter programmes together. An Anglo-Franco—German-Italian-Japan-Swedish fighter programme.
