I miss Spain
It should be noted that, as far as Italy is concerned, the vast majority of that expense is made up of old-age pensions. With the exception of a few and rather partial measures enacted during the last five years, we really don’t have much of a welfare state to begin with (at least compared to many of the countries in this chart).
