  1. She’s correct. If she isn’t partying on taxpayer time or dime, who cares.

  2. Honestly, we could do with more politicians who seem to enjoy normal things that regular people enjoy.

  3. Oh no, not a normal person who likes to do normal things in the government, how did she get ideas above her station like this and take a job that rightfully belongs to another production line Eton Toff?

  4. Strange, when Boris was PM, she tweeted at 22:05 on the 20/08/2020 “#WhereIsBorisJohnson I know everyone needs a holiday, but it’s all falling apart in our country and we need leadership at this time of crisis. A levels, housing evictions PHE saga, the leadership has been sadly lacking, PM failure yet again, cannot carry on like this”

So I say shes extremely hypocritical. The country is falling apart, Labour are making things worse, we have the most disliked and hated PM in history. It cannot carry on like this Starmer must go.

So it is very right she is ridiculed for going Ibiza, she needs to keep to the same standards she expected from other politicians. Just typical Labour.

  5. Getting very obama tan suit vibes from this. If a tory did it they would be celebrated for being such a character and a bit of fun! Someone you could have a pint with even. The right wing media really is utterly pathetic

  6. Well the previous lot partied during lockdown restrictions, so we’re definitely moving in the right direction.

He was lauded – “bustin a move”

  8. “Lady goes on holiday she paid for herself and has fun at disco.”

It’s a nothing burger and we need more normal people like Angela Rayner in politics…

  9. I’m sick of the sight of this woman and it’s only been a few weeks 😩. I don’t give a shit where she parties, I just don’t want it in the news, after all her holiday is a holiday for the rest of us too.

  10. ffs as much as some people dont like it, MPs are people too and it may not seem like it on the surface but they do a lot of hard work. they need rest too

  11. Criticising her for partying at a rave is clutching at straws and more than likely comes from those who didn’t see anything wrong with BoJo and the rest of the mupets partying during lockdown.

  12. It’s a class thing. Don’t sweat it. You go to the opera you’re a Champaign socialist, you go to Ibiza , you’re a disgrace. The sooner we wake up to the fact news organisations need reforming the better

  13. Meanwhile during his term as President, Donald Trump played 261 rounds of golf!

  14. Would it have attracted condemnation if she’d been spotted dancing at a society ball?

When I went to a ‘ball’ I was surprised to see it was just the same music and behaviour as in a nightclub – just silly people in posh clothes doing it.

  15. I’d imagine the comments here would be very different if it was farage lol

  16. Writers for the Daily Mail sound like the adults from “Footloose”… this getting attention because it’s not every day you see elected officials dancing is fair enough. Criticising her at all is just baffling.

  17. I’m starting to warm to her. Seems like she may be a good egg

  18. If I could give the Labour government any one bit of advice it’s to completely ignore any opinions of the curtains twitchers bothered by Rayner having fun. Essentially just ignore the Daily Mail.

They have been catered to for far too long, people who think everyone (but themselves) should live to work instead of working to live. They’ll never be satisfied until everyone but themselves is miserable.

Start having a bit of fun and the electorate might find you more relatable.

  19. If only the right wing were as upset about male politicians have Bunga Bunga parties with Russian spies and parties during lockdown as they are with women politicians having a good time.

  20. I don’t think anyone cares except the ‘opposition’ and their pet tabloids.

  21. Personally not someone I would describe as my cup of tea but she doesn’t deserve this backlash. She’s a human being and is allowed to put her hair down once in a while, good for her.

  22. An order of magnitude more relatable than the likes of Jacob Reece Mogg

  23. There was no furore. I didn’t see a single comment condemning her for it.

  24. “furore?” You mean that pisshead Nadine Dorries hating the idea that anyone who isn’t a Tory can have a life?

  25. Imagine the world’s leaders on pills. And imagine the morning after.

  26. Partying when off Parliament is bad

Partying during Parliament and lockdown is ok

    Okay got it

  27. I don’t care. But if it had been a Tory, she’d be saying it’s resignation material. This woman and her professional ‘have I mentioned I’m working class?’ status is a danger, in my opinion. Thick as mince.

  28. How dare you be an MP and have the audacity to enjoy yourself when you’re not working.

  29. There was a furore? I’ve seen nothing but people celebrating it.

Who says we live in social media bubbles?

  30. Who gives a shit? Normal person enjoys normal person things. So what?

  31. “She goes clubbing! Oh no, not seal clubbing, dance clubbing….for shame!”

  32. she has a right to have fun, I rather like her, even though her politics is very misguided.

  33. If it is not disturbing the peace in the neighbourhood why not?

  34. Come on… the lockdown rules were not clear. And she didn’t know it was a party. And it was essential to elevate a staff member’s morale.

  35. I don’t see what the fuck the problem is.

As long as she’s not using public funds for it, I say party on.

  36. I don’t know why this has even been considered news worthy.

  37. I miss the times when people in power conducted themselves professionally.

  38. It’s the Daily Fail.

Of course they have an issue with person having personal life in annual holiday from work.

Not a peep on Johnson or Mone pillaging the treasury though.

  39. How dare she have fun on her down time!!! Bring out the pitchforks.

  40. You got nothing better to talk about than someone having a night out. That’s the state of UK’s intellectual capacity.

  41. On the same week they announced years of austerity and financial misery to come, and slashed the oap winter fuel allowance.

    Yeah keep dancing halfwit

  42. Crazy how people want to be humans sometimes. Who the fuck actually cares? Like seriously if you care about this you have something super wrong with you

  43. Who cares what she does on her days off if not illegal ffs

  44. Here we are in a country where the current govt is elected by 1/5 of the general population, which is admittedly slightly better than our previous PM who wasn’t voted in at all, we seem to have collective amnesia that we were locked in our houses and had our businesses and children’s lives ruined for 2 years for not much good reason at all it turns out, our media is completely captured by people acting against the country’s own interests, we’re cheering on an unwinnable forever proxy war with Russia for no clear reason at all, while we let in 600k immigrants a year, build over our countryside to house them, while demanding that people be thrown in jail for saying nasty things about brown people or about middle class white people who want to playdress as the opposite gender… and we’re worried about whether some 3rd rate politician is dancing somewhere?

The whole Angela rayner dancing thing is about as real and genuine as any other photo op a politician appears in.

We are truly a degenerate, lost country circling round the plug hole.

  45. I don’t vote Labour but agree she did nothing wrong.
