  1. A new case has been filed against Dilruba Kayserilioğlu for ‘insulting the President’. Dilruba Kayserilioğlu (33), who was arrested and released due to her statements in a street interview in Izmir and sentenced to 7 months and 15 days in prison for the crime of ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility’, has been sued for ‘insulting the President’ with a request for a prison sentence of up to 4 years.

    Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, who criticized the blocking of access to Instagram and the animal law in a street interview in Izmir, was arrested on August 12. Kayserilioğlu, who was charged with ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility and humiliating’ and ‘insulting the President’, was subject to an objection by her lawyer Hüseyin Yıldız. However, the objection was rejected. After a second objection, Dilruba Kayserilioğlu’s detention on the charge of ‘insult’ was lifted and a travel ban was imposed. Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, who is still under arrest on charges of ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility’, was objected to again for her release. Following this last objection, Kayserilioğlu was released on August 29.

    JUDICIAL CONTROL DECISION LIFTED
    Dilruba Kayserilioğlu appeared before the judge yesterday with a request for 6 years in prison for committing the crime of ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility’ through the press, according to articles 216/1 and 2 and 218 of the TCK. The court ruled that Dilruba Kayserilioğlu be acquitted because the crime of ‘inciting the public to hatred and hostility’ did not occur. She was sentenced to 6 months in prison for the crime of ‘publicly insulting a segment of the public’. Since this action was committed through the press, the court increased the sentence by 1/2 in accordance with article 218 of the TCK, increasing it to 9 months. The court also reduced the sentence by 1/6 and applied a good conduct reduction, reducing the sentence to 7 months and 15 days. The judge postponed the announcement of the verdict and lifted the judicial control decision against Dilruba Kayserilioğlu.CASE FILED ON INSULTING THE PRESIDENT
    The Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has prepared an indictment against Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, this time on the charge of ‘insulting the President’. Dilruba Kayserilioğlu will be tried with a request for up to 4 years in prison.

  2. What kind of backwards shithole of a country jails someone with such stupid accusations? Erdogan and his acolytes must be small delicate little snowflakes if they feel so attacked by a random woman’s interview.

  3. Damn did they learn that from Nancy fäser? Or is Nancy trying to achieve this power?

    What came first the egg or the hen

    🤔 Really makes you think

  4. You know, I was really hyped about all the kitties in Istanbul. That trip is waiting until these limp noodles get ousted.

  5. Why Turkish people bother themselves by insulting their president, i can’t understand. He is doing a fine job at that by himself, he doesn’t need your help.

  6. Well… Turkey is a fake democracy. What did you expect?

    Greed, nationalism, lies, corruption, egoism… and everyone who has a problem with the system is an enemy. In Trukey you go to jail, in ruzzia you fall from a window.

    edit: Good i live in a free country, i can write this without the fear for my life “Erdolf, go fuck some more goats you filthy narcissistic kleptomaniac”

  7. Glad to see that people realize freedom of speech is a right we can never afford to give up

  8. Turk here, what she said;

    “If in the middle of 21st century we abandon parliamentarian regime and give the whole of Turkish Republic to one man, off course he is going to use it like it’s his father’s farm, he opens the Instagram and publishes Friday prayer messages (Instagram was banned at the time in Turkey) and some people supports this, now I am gonna say something that could be misunderstood, but I don’t care;

    Why should I mourn because some Arab died? (Erdogan declared national mourning for Haniyeh) I don’t have to. He (Erdoğan) uses Instagram whenever he likes but it’s banned for us. There are people who earn money from Instagram, whose income depends on it but he just bans it one night.

    Another time he makes law overnight to kill all stray dogs. He keeps doing this. I understand country has been surrendered to him but it’s not his father’s farm. He is playing with whole country like it’s a toy at the end of his finger. This is a secular country, you can’t just shut down Instagram, and I’ll say this to those who support him, (to the guy filming it) do not censor this I don’t want you to censor it; you are retards. You surrendered all your freedoms to one man. For holding him higher than God and worshipping him. Remember you called us ‘those who worship Ataturk’? And ‘those who worship dogs’ (she opposes the law that orders culling off all stray dogs) You are worshipping Erdogan and supporting restriction of our freedoms and killing of animals in such scale, you are all retards, your brains have melted.”

    They released her in the middle of the night all alone in the street to avoid media attention.

    Another guy has just been charged for calling an AKP member “a good for nothing dumbass” in his letter to the mayor.

    Main opposition party expressed full support to both.

  9. Almost every speech he makes contains hate and insults to some group save his voters and Muslim Brotherhood member Arabs.

    There is no word harsh enough to insult that guy as his own presence is an insult to humanity.

  10. Citizens of Turkiye do / use this.

    Then they come here cry they don’t have freedom and whatever not because they just don’t like Erdogan.

    These laws where long before Erdogan got elected.

    These shitty people, mostly on FB go on a full rant. They do everything so that you insult them. Mostly against people who support AKP / Erdogan. And file in a complaint after.

    Soon as you go to vacation you get arrested for insulting. And then come beg you for money. Give me a certain amount of money and ill charge back my complaint.

    You people are f disgusting.

  11. In Turkye it’s offensive to men for women to have an opinion.

  12. What a fuckin pathetic piece of shit Erdogan is.
    God help Turkey

  13. To be fair, I can’t put all Turks in the same basket; this woman proves that there are many normal, nice people.

    However, this ignorant Islamic, retrograde, medieval bunch of unjustifiable excuses for human beings dares to believe that is the minimal probability of being admitted as an EU member.

  14. Turkey like several other idiotic countries have that “insulting certain members of society” and have “The Crime of Inciting Hatred and Hostility Among the Public or Degrading the Public.” If you say fuck Sharia law Turkey is a democratic country it and always will be, you get police at your door. If you criticize government policies and say we shouldn’t accept it they suggest you are provoking the Public, if you criticize cults and religious extremists again, police at your door. They claim you are breaching peoples freedom of belief but don’t care those beliefs trying to restrict your life.
