  1. You get 3 months paid leave after giving birth but you only get 60% of your check

  2. I think this is best to call out individual States as many States do guarantee paid leave.

This really is something that should be left up to the States to decide how they want to manage this.

  3. Why does the family giving birth not plan for this stuff? Why are they not taught to plan for it? Why is her lack of planning everyone else’s problem?

Do y’all not notice that 99% of the sh-t you berate the country (i.e. your neighbors) for NOT doing for someone is sh-t they could have done themselves? But since they didn’t do it themselves, we have to do it for them? So everyone else in this country is capable of planning for their family growth and maternity leave and emergencies, but it’s so unfair that some didn’t and therefor should be our problem to take care of? Gtfo.

  4. The system is fucked enough, you don’t need to make shit up to make a point.

  5. Don’t worry. Pretty soon you’ll be replaced with robots so none of this will be an issue anymore you can sit at…home (if you’re still able to afford one) as long as you like.

  6. They don’t even discharge you from the hospital next day after birth in many cases. This is just outright wrong.

  7. People forget that everything workers have is from strikes, protests and fighting. Hardly anyone wants to do that so it’s why nothing changed.
