If I was an urban planner in a country known for wet weather I’d definitely replace regular pavements with nice smooth sheets of glass.

  1. Did you know that London is actually one of the driest cities in Europe.

  2. I feel any aesthetic aspirations have been somewhat hindered by the absolutely massive warnings and yellow hazard paint lines that has been installed to make people aware of the hazard. Surely it must be there to serve some purpose other than look pretty?

  3. A small handful of cities that get more rain than London (in some cases by a significant margin):

Barcelona, Rome, Lisbon, Split, Istanbul, New York, Sydney, Auckland, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro

London is famous for locals who whinge incessantly about the weather, which is not the same as actually having bad weather.

  4. I’m so angry about the whole design of this space. Fuck TFL for filling a public square with two massive glass boxes. And double fuck em for putting a glass path in between which is now closed off. The whole thing is a piece of shit.

  5. Hahahah we progressed from concrete to glass when what we really need is soil and green.. lovely
