18. Having been to Malaysia, this doesn’t come as a surprise. It’s a very very strict muslim nation pretending to be a modern asian country. Talking to locals (Indian and Chinese heritage) it’s obvious that radical muslims control most of what is happening. There is a lot of discrimination towards non Muslims, even legislatively. They rarely if ever hold political functions (only Muslims make it), they can’t intermarry with Muslims either. There are strict rules, near Sharia level, in regards to same sex marriage, even as a suspicion. They are getting closer with Russia because it’s a conservative country who is friends with Iran and China.
