If didnt know any better would say it's helpful to have the extra train in the morning! It's only when go out foreign to other countries realise how bad the public transport service is here. Still though, at least its moving forward.

Enjoy the train ride
There’s been some really great improvements in rail services recently.
While there is a certain element of “build it and they will come”, If the service is heavily under utilised then it will be cancelled.
Trains are great at moving large numbers of people very efficiently. When there’s hardly anyone on board then they are very inefficient.
Funny enough, I was literally just talking about how much I fucking love the train. Conceptually, it just blows my mind that you can step onto this thing and get magically whisked across the country in your sleep, and there you are! It’s like videogame fast travel.
Now if we could just get Athlone and Mullingar linked back up…
Semi unrelated but part of my commute involves the Luas – have they stopped running the full way from Broombridge to Bride’s Glen lately?
The greens get a lot of stick, but if you voted for them you absolutely are getting what you paid for. The sustained investments into public transport has improved a lot of things over the past few years. Yes someone will be along in a moment to say how their specific area isn’t great, and they’d be right. But take frequencies, routes, fare changes, and add in the focus on bike infrastructure (Leinster house sheds notwithstanding) and so on… we’re moving forward, slowly.
Bring back the trolley service everywhere though, I miss my insanely overpriced cup of emergency tea!
Edit – they never reopened my station’s tuck shop after Covid, either 😔

But this still can seem to schdule trains on the north side for some reason why do they have docklands train and grand canal train at the same time with one minute between them depending on which one get past clonsilla first the other one is delayed 10 mins
