NBC Pulls Back ‘Tonight Show’ to Four Nights Per Week

1. Too bad it is still on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

2. Here’s a genius idea for the NBC executives make Friday nights instead of repeats, new comedian pop ups or other celebrity host pop ups make it very inexpensive no band maybe the venue is changed…

3. Late night format is officially dead.

   Graham Norton is the only one worth watching at the moment.

4. Canceled one day at a time.

5. Conan should still be hosting The Tonight Show.

6. I mean who doesn’t need a 4 day work week, right?

11. Who even watches this tired format? And Jimmy Fallon is the worst. His schtick got old when he was still on SNL.

If you go to youtube and check out some of the old Letterman stuff on Don Giller’s page, or Letterman’s own page, or the stuff on Carson’s page…and then watch late night tv now, well it will feel like something went horribly wrong. There used to be so much funny original writing during the course of a show, and guests tried to be interesting. It wasn’t just the perfunctory project plugging and wacky games.

14. Are the NBC finances eally that bad? All these companies come off as incompetent with finances and constantly slashing cut backs and whatnot.

    Is it just the result of bad investments or just being penny pinchers?

    I assume at some point they’re gonna ask these guys to take paycuts when they do contract negotiations.

15. Perhaps pull it back to 1-0 nights a week

16. I sincerely hope his staff will still be paid for 40 hours per week.
