  1. I doubt anything will come of it. The practices ticketmaster used were immoral. But when it came down to it, people were faced with a decision. Consent to being absolutely ripped off, or don’t, and many consented to it. A guy I work with paid €2065 for 4 pitch standing tickets using a credit card and instantly regretted it. I personally believe that that’s on him, not ticketmaster.

  2. Even if it became mandatory to warn fans that dynamic pricing is in effect then that would be something positive out of this.

To queue for hours and then get through to be faced with those prices without prior warning is wrong.

  3. If they’re going after dynamic pricing, Michael O’Leary must be shweatin

  4. Dynamic pricing should be illegal. Concerts should be affordable for everyone.

  5. Did I imagine it or did ticket master CEO come on radio calling people thick for buying tickets off him 😂

  6. I think we all want to know how dynamic pricing was allowed given the *advertised * price points. Was this legal?

I think we all want dynamic pricing banned altogether regardless of whether it’s currently legal

I think we all want to know how a single customer is treated by the technology. I’d love to know is each and every customer treated fairly whilst in the waiting room and whilst in the queue.

Dynamic pricing is a scam. It’s as simple as that. Your band/artist is taking you for a fool if they sell like this. The artist is in on this awful practice.

  7. What’s everyone complaining about? If you had a business where people are banging on your door to ut what you were selling, you would increase the price too

  8. You’re not a ticket messiah, you’re a very naughty company.

    -consumer watchdog.

  9. The problem is that they are impacting the demand via bots and stalling people in queues deliberately creating a false narrative

  10. The price should be fixed. If Ticketmaster and Oasis want to charge 400 euro for a Ticket let them and see how many people actually buy it. Dynamic pricing is predatory and can be influenced by bots etc. You can’t confidently say that the problem is solely the fault of the artists. They do share part of the blame by signing off on it. However,Ticketmaster no doubt makes a few bob off of it and they run the system. They create the algorithm and facilitate the practice. The demand for a product should be based on what is being advertised, an informed decision by the consumer. You can’t get these tickets anywhere else so you’ve no choice. You should know the price before it goes on sale so you can take it or leave it. Dynamic pricing fabricates the demand and puts consumers in high pressure situations to force them to buy for a higher price than normal. it wouldn’t be accepted in many other industries so it shouldn’t be accepted in music/arts
