Germans vote in state elections set to hand victory to far right • FRANCE 24 English

Voters in two former East German states began casting ballots Sunday in elections expected to deal a blow to Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government and deliver big gains for the far-right AfD. Opinion polls have the anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) ahead in Thuringia and a close second in Saxony, while also predicting a strong showing for the upstart far-left BSW.

  1. People from both left and right keep telling them what are the problems, and they still don’t want to listen.

  2. The end of neo liberals is near . Open border is just back fairing. EU and neo librals runed europe in one decade they really thought doctors and engineers coming as migrants illegally crossing borders 😂 99 present came there for free stuffs and benefits.

  3. I don't care about sides, but think for a minute, if people want a change is because the current status isn't working. Cheers from Brazil.

  4. Good to see this happen, the public now waking up to political correctness ideologies that influencing Western countries for so long. The minorities can go back to their own countries to enjoy that majority. There have been so many people trying to turn a Western country into something else in the past 30 years.

  5. Another wave of the far right across western democracies. When will humanity learn this shift in ideology does not fix whatever is broken.

  6. I bet you can't wait for the 2025 nightmare election to see where you stand, this time. Last time, not so good.
